Our Partners Benjamin I. Waxenberg, CPA/PFS   Mr. Waxenberg is a 1978 graduate of Michigan State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Accounting.  He is licensed to practice accounting in the State of Michigan.  Ben formed his own practice in 1987 and brings over 25 years of public accounting experience to Waxenberg & Mueller, PLLC.   Ben has been responsible for servicing clients in nearly every sector of business with a concentration on medium sized, growth-oriented companies.  He has an extensive background in strategic planning and management advisory for closely-held businesses including business start up and tax planning.   Ben is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Michigan Association of CPAs.  He also obtained a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of CPAs.  The AIPCA established the PFS credential for CPAs who specialize in personal financial planning.  In today's financial world, developing sound strategies for a secure future can be complex and overwhelming.  Ben believes our clients deserve the best advice in planning and monitoring their financial goals.  As a Personal Financial Specialist, he is able to stay abreast of today's cutting-edge financial strategies and provide objective and competent advice.   Ben resides in Oak Park with his wife Vicki and their five children.        Kurt P. Mueller, CPA/Cr.FA   Mr. Mueller is a graduate of Wayne State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in May, 1992 graduating Cum Laude.  Kurt was certified to practice public accountancy in the State of Michigan in 1994 and is also a licensed life insurance agent.  After practicing public accounting for nine years, Mr. Mueller founded Mueller & Company, PC in 2001 which has now been merged into Waxenberg & Mueller, PLLC.   Kurt has directed his efforts towards the needs of closely held businesses and individuals concentrating on: corporate and personal tax planning, management advisory services, business start-up, tax dispute resolution, financial reporting, merger and acquisition, cash flow and budgeting, litigation support, forensic accounting and bankruptcy services.   Kurt is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of CPAs.  He also obtained a Certified Forensic Accountant (Cr.FA) designation from the American College of Forensic Examiners.  The ACFE established the Cr.FA credential for CPAs who specialize in forensic accounting.    Kurt currently resides in Rochester Hills with his wife Colleen and their three children.
